Contact Center Handicap.
The Contact Center Handicap provides information about accessible travel on public transport and organises free boarding and alighting assistance as well as general assistance for people with reduced mobility at stations and stops in Switzerland and for international rail travel.
This service is available for all public transport in Switzerland. And it is available free of charge to all passengers who use a wheelchair or have impaired mobility, passengers with a visual impairment, passengers with a hearing impairment and people with intellectual disabilities.
Important: The Contact Center Handicap does not sell tickets. Information on purchasing tickets for travel in Switzerland and abroad is available on our ‘Travel planning’ page.

- The Contact Center Handicap is available by telephone on 0800 007 102 every day from 5am to 12 midnight. No charge is made for calls from Switzerland.
- You can reach the Contact Center Handicap from abroad by calling the telephone number +41 800 007 102.
- You can also find the Contact Center Handicap online and book assistance via the Assisted Mobility Notification and Information System (AMO) at swisspass.ch/handicap. Register for this with your SwissPass login and notify us of your journey. The assistance will be planned automatically, so there’s no need to call the Contact Center Handicap. Registration is also a good idea for accessible connections.
This is how notification of your journey works.
- Book your journey by calling the Contact Center Handicap or online via the Assisted Mobility Notification and Information System (AMO).
- We require your reservations by telephone for travel assistance within Switzerland at least one hour before you require assistance. In exceptional cases, the notification period is two hours.
- Please make your request at least two hours in advance for assistance at stations and stops that are temporarily being served by a shuttle service. In any case, we recommend that you make your request as early as possible.
- For nighttime and early morning connections (before 6am), please make your reservation by 11pm.
- If you are travelling abroad, please request assistance at least 24 hours in advance. For this, we require the seat and coach number of your reservation.
Information required for notifying us of your journey.
Along with your request, please also provide your:
- Full name
- Mobile phone number (for text message confirmation and in case of queries)
- E-mail address (optional, recommended for the travel confirmation)
- Type of disability and equipment (motorised or standard wheelchair, rollator)
- Date of travel and destination
- Departure and/or arrival time
