The 1-day travelpass for the Half-Fare travelcard is valid for travel by train, boat and post bus as well as by tram and bus in most Swiss towns, cities. The 1-day travelpass is available for first or second class and is valid throughout the GA area of validity, but not on international journeys***. To be able to benefit from a 1-day travelpass, you need to be in possession of a Half-Fare travelcard. Incidentally, if you want to treat yourself to first-class travel for a change, you’ll be pleased to know that there is a favourably-priced class upgrade for a day available too.
Did you know? 1-day travelpasses are also available as a stampcard in attractive multipacks (6 for the price of 5)**. This means you can use a ticket from the multipack to travel all day long in 2nd class for CHF 59.20.

The 9 o'clock travelpass is valid (in conjunction with a Half-Fare travelcard) on Mondays to Fridays from 9:00 onwards. It is not valid on Saturdays, Sundays or on public holidays*.

1-day class upgrade
1-day class upgrade for holders of a GA or a 1-day travelpass.
Why not treat yourself to a day of first-class travel for a change? All you need is a 1-day class upgrade for holders of a second-class GA travelcard or a second-class 1-day travelpass and you can enjoy the added comfort and convenience of first-class travel.
The class upgrade from 9 a.m. is valid on Mondays to Fridays as of 9:00. It is not valid on Saturdays, Sundays or on public holidays*.

With a 1-day travelpass or a 9 o'clock travelpass, you benefit from up to 50% off the price of the non-travel component of SBB RailAway offers. To benefit from these special low prices you must make sure you buy the non-travel component (such as museum entrance) from a railway ticket counter before you set out (the ticket counters in museums, etc. cannot sell you these reduced-price tickets.)

Since 1-day travelpasses for the Half-Fare travelcard and 1-day class upgrades are not personal, they make excellent gifts. If you are travelling with others, you can simply share the travelpasses from a sixpack.
