Communications & Public Affairs gives SBB a voice, face and image. The press officers are the contacts for the media, providing information on what is happening in the enterprise. The Department coordinates the Group's PR work, issues brochures and organises events of all kinds. It also publishes the SBB journal (SBB Zeitung) for all employees.

Kathrin Amacker (1962, CH)
Head of Communication & Public Affairs since 1 May 2013.
Dr. phil. II. Kathrin Amacker was previously Head of Group Communications at Swisscom and a member of the telecommunication company's Management Board. Prior to that she worked at Novartis, where her various roles included Project Manager in technical areas and in Human Resources Management. Furthermore, she was engaged in employee relations and active on a political level, e.g. as a member of the National Council for the CVP.
